keen
adjective · casual
Eager, interested, wanting to do something.
How Aussies use it
- Are you keen for lunch?
- I'm keen to learn more about the job.
Good to know
'Keen' is also fine in professional settings, for example 'I'm keen to contribute'.
Saying it more formally
In a formal email, essay or the PTE test, use interested, eager instead.
Slang is great for chatting with friends and workmates, but keep it out of PTE essays and formal writing.
