How to use practice by level
- Work at your target level, not far above it. If you score under 50% on a set, try the level below first.
- Mix in full tests. Real tests mix levels, so take a full mock test every week or two.
- Track it. Every set you finish is saved to My progress on this device.
Frequently asked questions
How do you decide the level of a question?
We write each set for one target level, using the official descriptions of what that level can do: IELTS band descriptors, the PTE and OET score levels, and the CEFR for general English. Levels are a guide: some questions will feel easier or harder for you.
Why don't full mock tests have a level?
Because real tests mix easy and hard questions on purpose. Use the practice on this page to work at your level, and take a full mock test every week or two to see your overall score.
