Full tests (with band estimate)

Take these like the real test: one part at a time, timed, with the reading passage beside the questions and each listening recording played once. At the end you get your raw score out of 40 and an estimated band.

Reading: single passages

About 20 minutes each. Good for daily practice or for working on one question type. Passages 1–6 are Academic; the full tests above combine them into 40-question tests.

Listening: short practice

Writing and speaking

Each writing task gets an instant band estimate for all four criteria (Task Achievement/Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammar), plus a model answer. Speaking sets have real timings and a private recorder. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use these tests

  1. Start with one full reading and one full listening test to see where you are.
  2. Work on your weakest question types using the single passages (the results table shows which types you lost marks on).
  3. Write one Task 2 essay a week and compare it with the model answer.
  4. Take the second full tests two to four weeks before your exam.

Turn on progress tracking to see your scores over time. Our tests are written to match the real question types and difficulty, but they're not official IELTS material. For official samples, see ielts.org.

Unofficial practice. We wrote these questions to match the official IELTS question types and timings. They are not real exam questions, and points shown are practice feedback, not a band score. For official sample tests, visit ielts.org.
