Why typing speed matters in PTE
All PTE writing is typed on a standard keyboard. At 25 words per minute, a 250-word essay takes 10 minutes just to type, leaving little time to plan and check. At 40 words per minute, it takes about 6. Ten minutes of typing practice a day makes a real difference within a few weeks.
Pasting is turned off in the box above, so the result reflects your real speed.
